Peter Hartman, LMT, CA
Peter’s first career was as a construction professional. Though he found house construction interesting and satisfying, he realized that working through continual discomfort was not conducive to his well-being. When the opportunity arose in 2003, he enrolled in the New Mexico Academy of Healthy Arts massage program. There he focused on Clinical Applications of Neuromuscular and Cranial Sacral Techniques.
Peter uses many different techniques to bring more optimal function and ease to movement. He has seen the variety of styles help allow him to be effective in meeting the needs of his clients, this includes the emphasis on the neuromuscular feed back loops. He believes the human body is truly miraculous and includes the wisdom of the Creator.
Jennifer Hammack, LMT, CA
Jenn is a native Oregonian and the youngest of three. She served for sixteen years in the Oregon Air National Guard. During her time she had many opportunities to travel and see different parts of the world.
It was a terrible car accident at age 20 that brought Jenn to her first chiropractic visit, and eventually her first massage therapist. She knew immediately during her first massage what she was meant to do, it was her calling! She earned her license to practice massage therapy in 1991.
Jenn has worked in many different avenues with massage. She has worked on the elderly, at salons and athletes. She had the honor of accompanying the Women’s OSU Swim Team to the PAC 12 Championships as their massage therapist. Of all her experiences, working with the Heresco team has been her best years.
Jennifer and her husband, Jeff, have two exceptional children. She loves her community, her church and her life here in Corvallis.
Mike Giles, LMT, CA
Mike joined the HCA team as a massage therapist in 2011. His experience as a patient at the clinic since 1998 inspired him to study and practice massage, and he feels fortunate to have the chance to continue the tradition of exceptional care that he received.
Mike’s approach to massage is results-oriented and draws from his massage education at Oregon School of Massage in Salem, and from his continued study of anatomy, kinesiology, and manual therapy techniques. Some of his modalities and approaches include myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, structural integration, and Swedish massage. He firmly believes that therapists are never done learning, and he strives every day to do a better job helping his clients move pain free and maintain healthy lives. He is an instructor of Kinesiology at Oregon School of Massage in Salem, Oregon.
Mike grew up climbing trees and playing and working in the fields around Harrisburg, Oregon. He competed in running sports and wrestling during his secondary education years. Mike and his wife met at Oregon State University ballroom dancing and competed together for two years in amateur level Latin and standard dance. They live in Philomath and have a son and daughter, and two dogs. He enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, canoeing, reading, practicing and studying Buddhism, being with his wife, and drinking the finest oolong teas.
Linda Nyhus, LMT, CA
Linda is a native Oregonian, but spent 12 years living in Nebraska. While there she earned her massage license and worked at the Nebraska Medical Center in the Physical and Occupational Therapy Department. She specializes in myofascial release, deep tissue, Swedish and lymph drainage massage techniques.
Years ago her daughter had a chronic stomach problem. During Linda’s search to get her daughter help, she was unable to find a solution through the use of pharmaceuticals. It was at that point she turned to the use of Holistic medicine and a more natural approach with supplements.
Linda moved back to Oregon to be closer to family and started to work at Heresco Chiropractic. She has 4 grown daughters and 8 beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys watching them grow up with all their many activities.
